Wizkid has just hit five million (5M) followers on popular social media, Twitter. This is coming after he made history at the 02 Arena.

This weekend, the popular Nigerian singer sold out the O2 Arena in London for his Starboy Fest 2019, making him the only African to have ever sold out the coveted venue twice.

The singer selling out the 02 Arena on the same day The Headies award held showed his strength in the music industry. He was also able to feature hit-makers; Afro B, Skepta, Tiwa Savage, Runtown, Naira Marley, Olamide, Fireboy DML, Maleek Berry, Terri, Reekado Banks, Oxlade at the Starboy Fest 2019.

Wizkid is now looking to close the gap on Davido – who is currently the most followed Nigerian celebrity on Twitter (5.5M), as he hit the five million mark earlier today.

Davido, did overtake Wizkid on Twitter earlier this year, and it seems the Starboy Fest 2019, was a success all round as it has seen a rise in Wizkid’s follower base.

There is still one record that sits right at the top. The most viewed Nigerian celebrity video on Instagram. That one is held by Davido. The video showing Davido during the video shoot of a song he did with label mate Zlatan Ibile sits at over one million followers.
