Rape: Busola Dakolo loses case against Fatoyinbo, Tonto Dikeh reacts to judgement

Busola Dakolo’s rape allegation case against Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo has been thrown out by a Federal High Court in Abuja, and Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh is pleased with the ruling.

In her suit, Mrs Dakolo asked the court to declare that Biodun Fatoyinbo’s denial of his alleged acts contained jointly and/or severally through a press statement he released on June 28, 2019, had caused her continuous emotional distress and amounted to intentional infliction of emotional distress on her.

The court sitting in Bwari dismissed the suit filed by photographer, Busola Dakolo, while also ordering her to pay N1m for wasting the court’s time.

In his ruling, Justice Oathman Musa held that the matter amounts to injustice and an abuse of judicial process adding that the case is empty and purely sentimental. Justice Musa said that the case was aimed more at cruelty than obtaining justice.

The court also awarded costs of N1m against Busola Dakolo and held that the fine should have been 10 times more because the court’s time was wasted.

Well, whether the court was right or wrong with the ruling has become more of a social media thing, and Tonto Dikeh – who herself is a controversial figure – couldn’t help but jump on the whole discussion.

Tonto Dikeh took to her social media page to share a picture of Biodun Fatoyinbo after news broke that the Busola Dakolo rape case against him has been dismissed by an Abuja high court.

First she posted a photo of the pastor with the caption ‘GLORY’ then went on to state that God can’t be mocked, while fully stating that she was all in celebrating with Biodun Fatoyinbo on the court judgement.

Tonto Dikeh went on to state that the money which the court asked Mrs Dakolo to pay ought to be donated to IDP’s.
