NYSC Kwara camp coronavirus isolation centre is ready – State Coordinator

The State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps, Kwara State Mrs Francisca Olaleye has said the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in the state has been prepared as the isolation centre for the victims of the dreaded pandemic, coronavirus.

The State Coordinator made this disclosure earlier today at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Yikpata. She said the camp clinic amongst other newly constructed buildings in the camp have been fully prepared to be used.

Mrs Olaleye noted that the step is part of the efforts of the Director-General and the management of the scheme to be on the same page with government to collectively battled the deadly virus in the country.

The State Coordinator who said though the state has not recorded any case of COVID-19 at the moment according to the World Health Organisation (WHO) and Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) chart, explained that the gesture is the proactive measures of the scheme in solidarity with the government to be on steps ahead in case of any eventuality.

The State Coordinator also lauded the effort of the state government in making sure that the state is coronavirus free. She therefore made appeal to the members of the public to cooperate with the NCDC by adhering to the instructions given on the prevention of hydra-headed dreadful virus, COVID-19 and also stay safe at their various homes as directed by the government.

It is worthy of note that Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps , Brig Gen Shuaibu Ibrahim recently directed that all the orientation camps should be prepared as isolation centres for the victims of COVID-19 to receive unbridled medical attention.
