1.) Professor (Mass Communication)

Location: Kwara

Department: Mass Communication

Qualifications and Experience

  • Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree in Mass Communication, or in Journalism, or in any adjuncts of Mass Communication, which is obtained from any recognized or reputable University.
  • Applicants must be authorities in the field of communication with not less than 25 scholarly publications reflecting a spread in local, national and international outlets.
  • Applicants must also have had at least TEN (10) years University full-time teaching and research experience as well as substantial professional experiences and stints in any media organisations..
  • It is expected that applicants will have reckonable abilities to initiate a unique research agenda for the Department. Professional, academic and administrative experiences combined are therefore essential requisites for any potential successful applicants because applicants are expected to provide strong academic and professional foundation for the emergent Department. Membership of any professional association like NIPR and APCON will be an added advantage.
  • Applicants must also be computer literate.

2.) Associate Professor (Mass Communication)

Qualifications and Experience

  • Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree in Mass Communication, or in Journalism, or in any adjuncts of Mass Communication, which is obtained from any recognized or reputable University.
  • Applicants must be authorities in the field of communication with not less than 25 scholarly publications reflecting a spread in local, national and international outlets.
  • Applicants must also have had at least Eight (8) years University full-time teaching and research experience as well as substantial professional experiences and stints in any media organisations..
  • It is expected that applicants will have reckonable abilities to initiate a unique research agenda for the Department. Professional, academic and administrative experiences combined are therefore essential requisites for any potential successful applicants because applicants are expected to provide strong academic and professional foundation for the emergent Department. Membership of any professional association like NIPR and APCON will be an added advantage.
  • Applicants must also be computer literate.

3.) Senior Lecturer (Mass Communication)

Qualifications and Experience

  • Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree in Mass Communication, or in Journalism, or in any adjuncts of Mass Communication, which is obtained from any recognized or reputable University.
  • The applicants must be authorities in the field of communication with not less than 15 scholarly publications reflecting a spread in local, national and international outlets.
  • Applicants must also have had at least six (6) years University full-time teaching and research experience as well as substantial administrative and professional experiences that enable him provide leadership direction required to build the emergent Department. Membership of any professional association like NIPR and APCON will be an added advantage.
  • Applicants must also be computer literate.

4.) Lecturer I (Mass Communication)

Qualifications and Experience

  • Applicants must possess a Ph.D. degree in Mass Communication, or in Journalism, or any adjuncts of Mass Communication, which is obtained from any recognized University.
  • Applicants are also expected to have published not less than 8 academic publications in reputable outlets and must have professional working experience of at least three (3) years in any media organization.
  • Membership of any professional association like NIPR and APCON will be an added advantage.
  • Applicants must also be computer literate.

5.) Lecturer II (Mass Communication)

Qualifications and Experience

  • Applicants must possess a Ph.D. degree in Mass Communication, or in Journalism, or any adjuncts of Mass Communication, which is obtained from any recognized University.
  • Applicants are also expected to have published not less than 4 academic publications in reputable outlets and must have professional some working experiences in any media organization. Membership of any professional association like NIPR and APCON will be an added advantage.
  • Applicants must also be computer literate.

6.) Assistant Lecturer (Mass Communication)

Qualifications and Experience

  • Applicants must have a Masters degree in Mass Communication from any reputable University. However, it will a great advantage for any applicant that has begun a Ph.D. study or that is almost completing such study.
  • Applicants must have capacity and motivation for scholarship and enthusiasm for providing academic supports for students.
  • Membership of any professional association like NIPR and APCON will also be an added advantage.
  • Applicants must also be computer literate.
