Precious Owolabi Dead: Channels TV reporter killed in police and Shiites clash

See how Nigerians have reacted to the unfortunate incident;

Babasola Kuti – Precious Owolabi the Youth Corper serving with channels TV who was shot has died. Another innocent young life cut short by Muhammadu Buhari. A man who thrives on the shedding of the blood of young Nigerians. We remember Bauchi 2011. Ijeoma Onyeator actually wept on live TV.

Oduntan Ayodeji – Shiites protesters made it first statement today in Abuja. Set ablaze national emergency agency truck. Killed Channels TV reporter Precious Owolabi while reporting the incident

suleiman idris – Just in: We are saddened by the passing away of Precious Owolabi who died of wounds sustained in cross-fire during violent confrontation between the NIGERIA POLICE & Shiites in Abuja, Nigeria. He was a a Youth Corps Member(NYSC), posted to the station.

Engr. Ibitayo Afolabi – I will advice @channelstv to adequately kit their correspondence for such assignment. Just look at Kayla Megwa too, no bulletproof helmet and vest in such a tense environment. Rest In Peace Precious Owolabi.

DREY-PR – Really feel sorry for the families of Precious Owolabi. But I really feel it’s a bad move to go near scenes where there is gunfire exchange during a protest/riot because of journalism. In as much as they want to have something to report about, they should also value their lives.

Emmanuel – Just like that #PreciousOwolabi is dead. My condolences to his family.
But, how do you use a live ammunition on protesters who are reported unarmed…how!!! I mean how does that make any sense.

Lere Olayinka – Aresa 1 – Precious Owolabi came to Channels TV as a Youth Corper to serve his fatherland. He was killed today due to the wickedness and vindictiveness of a certain Buhari. May his soul rest in peace.

Eric Yero – So sad an nysc coper working with @channelstv shot dead trying to cover footages of shites clash earlier today. R. I. P precious owolabi. What is wrong with this Nation. Someone gets a job admist highrate of unemployment and meets death because of insecurity & ignorance of govt

FAVOUR ONYEOZIRI – Let it be on record that Precious Owolabi died because a certain democratic Government led by a Dictator refused to obey a simple court order. I hope the Govt doesn’t wait for more casualties before they find a peaceful resolution to this Shiites crisis.

#Bibiire – Precious Owolabi, the reporter form Channels TV joins the list of unnecessary deaths from the government’s actions and inactions on handling this Shiites crisis. Even the capital is no longer safe. Abuja people, break from your bubble o
