Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has taken to social media to appreciate God on the success of her trending movie “Omoghetto The Saga”.
The comedy flick, ‘Omo Ghetto The Saga’, emerged as the highest-grossing Nollywood film of 2020, breaking a four-year record held by Kemi Adetiba’s 2016 comedy movie “The Wedding Party“.
Aside from making over N630 million from the movie, Funke Akindele’s “Omoghetto The Saga” became Nigeria’s first film to hit the cinemas in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Sharing a throwback photo of herself during the movie’s production, the actress said she added so much effort in ensuring the movie will be a success.
According to Funke Akindele, who likened herself to working like a machine, she was acting, producing, directing and ensuring that all went as planned.
Looking back at the movie production experiences and the success recorded so far, the actress expressed appreciation to God.
