Nigerian Poetry: Break Away in Pains by Atere Oluwagbemisola

Each day I break away in pains,
It would have been better if I was bound with chains.
As each night draws nigh,
Every now and then, I sigh.

I’ve always believed God’s word through His oracle,
Waited so long and patiently for a miracle.
They say God can never be too late
But sometimes I wonder when He’d pick a date.

It is believed that people tell lies in their stories to impress,
Not always so, you never can tell.
Everyone thinks it will always be fiction
But only a writer knows when her piece is actually not fiction.

I hope you enjoyed this Nigerian Poetry titled Break Away in Pains by Atere Oluwagbemisola
