OAU VC gives update on Prof. Akindele

Richard Akindele - Fabinfo Staff

The Vice Chancellor of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Prof. Eyitope Ogunbodede, has said the institution may involve the police to verify a telephone conversation involving Prof. Richard Akindele and the student of the institution.

Professor Akindele was said to have asked a female student for s*x in order to help her pass her exams.

The VC speaking to journalists in Osogbo on Sunday said the university might involve the police to get to the root of the matter if the investigation committee runs into a hitch.

He said, “We have a committee that is investigating the matter now and we gave them one week to submit their report. If we run into any hitch, we can use all the resources available to get to where we are going. But once things are running smoothly, we may not need to involve the police.

“But we must first identify those involved and where they are; if we have any problem doing that, then that is when the university will invite the police.

“The committee’s one week will elapse by Wednesday. We will brief you about it. I need to state that we have excellent relationship with the police, the DSS and others.”

Don’t marry the partner your pastor recommends – Actress Foluke Daramola

April 17, 2018 in Romance

a3 54 - Fabinfo Staff

Nollywood actress, Foluke Daramola has advised singles seeking for a lifetime partner. In an Instagram post, the actress narrated how CAC pastor, Apostle Ayo Babalola was misled by Church elders to marry a woman who became a thorn in his flesh.

Foluke Daramola narrated the pastor’s story to advice singles to not depend on the revelation of some pastor or prophet when they want to chose a partner.

Her account below.

”CHOICE OF WIFE/HUSBAND

THE SAD EXPERIENCE OF GREAT APOSTLE AYO BABALOLA. “His known mistake was his choice of wife. History has it that the woman he truly loved was a single mother, but the elders of CAC considered it an embarrassment for their leader to marry a single mother. Hence, they misled him to marry the spinster who later became the thorn in his flesh. Her name was Dorcas. A Christian name is not the same with a Christian at heart. “There was a time she poured palm oil on the white garment of the man of God on his way to a crusade ground. Another time after returning from the mountain after long days of prayers and fasting, the wife served him a delicious meal to break his fast. He had only taken about two or three morsels when the wife told him “l thought you are a true prophet, because you should have known by revelation that the chicken in the food was stolen”. The man of God gently left the remaining food and returned to the mountain to ask God for forgiveness. “As anointed as he was, he had no adequate mentoring, part reason for his wrong choice of wife which sadly and eventually, directly or indirectly led to his untimely death.” APPLICATION:

If you want to fulfill purpose and live long, you must by all means, at all cost marry YOUR Wife/Husband Not the one a prophet, pastor, priest or parents recommend, but the one God recommends. People can only guide. The ultimate choice must be born out of your personal conviction by the Holy Spirit.

#Pray….

May we not marry our enemies as spouse in Jesus name!!! Anyone man or woman sent as a spouse to destroy my destiny be exposed and disgrace in Jesus name!!!”.

Son of business mogul and CEO of Globacom, Paddy Adenuga, has allegedly agreed to be jailed instead of marrying his ex.

He stressed this while reacting to a popular meme which asked if people would marry their exs or agree to be jailed.

Paddy commented, directly asking when he can start his prison term. The comment rather direct, prompted the reply of a fan who asked; was she that bad?, a question the young man avoided answering.

Meanwhile, Paddy has once offered relationship advice online in a post which read;

if you are dating someone that doesn’t believe in your dreams, goals, or ambition.. it’s probably a good time to end that relationship I have been engaged twice (2010, 2012) but didn’t get married on either occasion…painful both times but lessons learned.

Fans have also come to know that he was once in love with a beautiful lady named ‘Reem’ whom he lost to untimely death as he had written a post-humorous emotional message to her in May last year

Precious Reem, you would have been 25 today. There is not a day that goes by that I don’t think of you and all the good times we had together. There are many nights were I simply can not believe that you are gone. I remember your laugh, your smile, and just how beautiful a person you genuinely were. Thank you for believing in me – for all your love and support. Our time together was far from perfect and at times felt like a rollercoaster… but it was special and I have so many great, intimate memories. I can only sit back and wonder now | you would have been a great wife and a great mother. I know wherever you are, you are watching down on me. I hope you are proud of me and how hard I am trying to honour your name. We all miss you dearly Reem… I miss you #restinpeace #onceuponareem #” #lovelike, noother #lovehaven#”

images 2 picsay - Fabinfo Staff

As the Android 0 Oreo is still finding it way to dominate all the eligible devices, Android 9.0 P is loading it’s bag to jump into the trend. Android P is on the verge of its official release and the Developer Preview version is already out last month.

The release of the update is still unknown but we assume that Google I/O event could be the place. As usual, it would take some time if not up-to months for the Android smartphone OEMs to send it as an OTA update to its users.

In this post, i will Briefly list the available infinix devices to get the Android 9.0 P update. All infinix users knows very well that infinix mobile usually release only but one new update to each of their devices unlike tecno products which doesn’t give update at all before.

Presently, the only Infinix phone that comes with the Android 8.0 Oreo version is Infinix hot S3 while others like Infinix zero 5, Hot 5, Note 4 and Note 4 pro received it as update through OTP.

ADDED FEATURES IN ANDROID 9.0 P

Notch Support:

Since all the smartphones in 2018 are coming out with the same notch design as iPhone X, Android P will iron out the problem with the notch most people are having. The issue is that some parts of the apps are staying hidden behind the top notch and some of the features are becoming inaccessible. Android P will have the inbuilt feature for the apps to display everything after visual optimization.

Indoor Navigation:

This is a brand new feature that will be a challenge for iOS. You will be able to navigate in commercial buildings like shopping malls with the help of your smartphone just like you do for outdoor navigation. The details of the feature are not yet out but it is definitely the most ground-breaking feature of Android P.

P For Privacy:

Android P is taking the utmost care of personal privacy and that is why it is barring the background apps from accessing your mic or camera. It has been found that some of the trusted apps are recording your conversation and even your movements secretly. In Android P, only the app that is currently running on the screen will be able to access your mic or camera.

Also , you will get additional features such as redesigned quick settings, new volume slider, new settings menu, screenshot editor, multi-camera support, and most importantly a dark mode for OLED users which have been on request by the users for a long time now.

A Husband’s Story: Giving our wife’s the best

April 15, 2018 in story

image01 1 1024x683 - Fabinfo Staff

Some years ago, I remember vividly my wife complained about her phone which was not working well anymore due to battery ‘ish’ and distaste, so she was stylishly demanding for a new phone.

Each time the phone make a mess, she get sad and i always feel like getting her a new phone forthwith.

I was using Q10 she was using a Techno phone, to her it’s like I should have compassion on her and give her my phone. She didn’t say it but the body language did.

So I decided to surprise her with a Q10 which was on her birthday.

She was so glad, she threw herself on me and I felt relieved because she was happy to the extreme.

I said to myself, at last I will have a rest of mind.

Little did I know that the phone will barely be for a while

Hmmmmmm, that phone was stolen the following day.

She almost fall sick, she locked herself up.

Initially I was not happy with the fact that the phone just disappeared just like that.

I had to squeeze myself, denied some of my personal need budgeted to get that phone.

That Night, I gave her my own Q10, I searched my wardrobe for my long abandoned small Nokia Touch light tied with rubber-band

Why did I share this?

I attended a seminar a friend invited me to about 3 days later or so. During the seminar I was making lots of calls not aware that my friend was caught with the kind of phone I was making calls with. I was receiving calls almost every minute. (He was sha staring at my Nokia touch light)

He really made jest of me, and after the seminar he told me to follow him home, that he has a surprise gift for me. On getting to his place he went in and brought out an IPhone 5s gold brand new, his Aunt had sent him an iPhone 5s while he was using iPhone 6 before the arrival of the phone. So he planned selling the iPhone 5s.

But God touched him,Miraculously he gave it to me free.

I never believed it!

When I got home I told my wife what had happened, she was so surprised and was really happy. Immediately she started taking pictures with it

You know then 5s Na big phone oo

You know what I did?

I gave her the iPhone 5s, collected back my Q10 and she was so speechless. ‘She prayed sote prayer wan almost turn another thing, she prayed for me like say Na 1million I dash her’

To me, my wife must look good! She must use the very best if I have what it takes in my possession, my wife must reflect my wealth, she must be happy which is paramount.

Folks, That month I got a car.

We were presented a car.

The secret of unlocking doors of progress. This is just one of it!

Two years ago; Nigerian football Player Victor Anichebe got a new car for his girl and the following weekend he scored 2 Goals for his club, he added another double the following weekend. Of which he had been on a goal drought for months. Am just citing another great example.

Give your wife the best because she deserves the best.. AT ALL TIMES!

You’re only doing yourself a favor

What I have come to realized is that when you make your wife happy, she will go extra miles to make sure you have the world at your feet even if it will take her ‘sweat and blood’

Be truthful, with one heart, love your wife, if you give her A, you will get A,B,C Learn this

The bridge: The story of my friend and I

April 15, 2018 in story

Ask Molly losing friend 009 - Fabinfo Staff

We both lived side by side in ogbomoso for few years. We were great friends.

One day, a foolish argument caused a rift between us. This was the first serious disagreement we both had in our 4years of friendship.

Up until that day, we always share pleasant moments together, shared knowledge and lent a helping hand to one another in times of need.

The fight began over a small misunderstanding, which can sometimes happen, but the dispute dragged on and became an angry exchange of words, following by months of silence and malice.

One day, my wife asked of him from me and demand we end our differences. I got angry and shuddered it away. I told her I don’t want to have anything to do with him again.

My wife thought quietly to herself for few minutes, looking at me and eventually said “I see”

Days later, she rang me in the evening while she was returning from work as a surprise to meet her In a ‘casual restaurant with varied menu’. I was glad that she was taking me out for dinner.

I got there. It was a lovely place. At the same time, my friend happened to had showed up too at the same place and same time.

I was looking around in search of where my wife was seated when we both beamed each other. In few seconds; He walked to me, and embrace me.

He said: “You’re something special. Inviting me here after all I have said and done”.

I was speechless as I was emotional; wondering what he meant by “inviting him over”. But I didn’t place much concern in those words as I felt I had missed something. I missed him.

He was braver than I am, stronger and wiser to break and destroy the “wall” between us.

While we were hugging. I saw my wife standing just there at the entry.

As we both looked at her, she wanted to walk away when we both said ” Please stay”

She’d informed him to meet me at the restaurant using my phone the previous day and deleting the message sent.

She built the bridge and destroyed the wall.

We often let anger push us away from our loved ones, and allow pride to come before our love. Don’t let it happen to you. Learn to forgive and appreciate what you have.

The past cannot be changed; but the future can be. No quarrel can spoil a true connection.

The single mother of one when asked by Saturday Sun said: “If the s*x is bad but he is a good man and treats you like a queen, will you stay in the relationship or marriage?’

“As long as he has lots of money, why not? Who has good s*x helped? Who cares when the shops are full of the right tools?”

Also, when asked about her family’s reaction when they got to know that she was pregnant out of wedlock, Ebeye said she was old enough to make her decisions.

She said: “When I told my mother that I was pregnant, she simply made me understand that it’s my life, my decision and not hers. Luckily for me, I have amazing parents. I have done my obligations as a child. So, there’s really nothing to worry about.”

The social media is currently abuzz with the circulation of images wherein the Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, and a national leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu, were seen discussing and embracing each other at a public function where they recently met.

There have been reports that both men, who are former governors of Lagos state, have not been in good terms with claims in some quarters that they belong to different camps in the APC. Tinubu was the immediate predecessor of Fashola who had served as Chief of Staff in the former’s government.

At the recently held 10th Bola Tinubu Colloquium, though Fashola was among the guests, he did not play a major role in the event commemorating Tinubu’s 66th birthday. Neither was he selected as one of the individuals to testify about the impact Tinubu has made on their lives.

See pictures of them which have left many wondering whether the supposed feud between both leaders were a media creation afterall.

My Experience As A Corp Member In Kebbi State

April 12, 2018 in story

30629148 2122986517741036 5725429359641100288 o - Fabinfo Staff

My service year experience can be related to the processes involved in the making of gold, which we all love – from fire to glitters.

Oh! Pardon my ill manners. My name is Aruleba Damilare Olamide, an ex Kebbi State corp member Batch B, 2016).

Just like every prospective corp member whose call up letter points to the Northern part of Nigeria, I was torn apart. “Kebbi State! Of all the states in Nigeria! How many ancestors did I offend!” I screamed, as I quickly searched out the Nigerian map on my Android smartphone. I had never been so serious reading the Nigerian map before.

Knowing that I would have to travel to the extreme of Nigeria made me wish I was dreaming, but reality was so adamant that it wouldn’t give way for my dream wishes to come true.

Without wasting time, I ransacked the internet, looking for other “ill-fated” protective corp members like myself to be travel partners with. With luck on my side, I found many Whatsapp groups and I was quick to make friends. The mobilization countdown began.

Fast forwarded to the day I had to leave for camp, I woke up as early as 4am (as if I even slept. Lol). I was on an emotional merry-go-round that had happiness and sadness seating on different seats – Yay! I’m going to camp! – at Kebbi state? Oh no!

Funny enough, I never got on the same bus with those friends I made from Whatsapp; I found other PCMs on the bus I was and we all told our sad stories.

The journey to Kebbi was so far that if not that I saw sand everywhere, I’d have asked the driver if he was driving us to heaven. We arrived at Niger State and I checked my map with a smile on my face. “Kebbi is next,” I said loudly. I never knew what the miles ahead looked like.

My parents called me three times (with three hours between each time) and I replied their “where are you?” questions with “Niger State.” At this point, I thought to sleep, but what I saw next put my sleeping faculty on caffeine. I saw a camel! I only saw them in books and on TV – I was so happy to see a live camel that I totally forgot that I couldn’t feel my butts.

If Jackie Chan was on that vehicle, he’d be glad to have met a die-hard fan; I had practised all the styles he used in the drunken master because my butt and legs were numb.

After driving for hours, we arrived at Koko Besse, where we took another car to Dankingari. After about an hour now driving, we got the NYSC camp. Guys, this camp was so beautiful that I didn’t think about all the travel stress I went through.

The three weeks I spent in the camp came and passed quicker than I thought and I had to go to my PPA. I was posted to Jega Local Government Area of Kebbi State.

And the real struggle began…

I had a rough beginning, trying to blend with a totally different culture – the language; dos and don’ts; food ( After eating rice in Kebbi, it was like my anus lost its “hold” button – for three days, I visited the toilet more than I blinked). Did I tell you I drank more than 10 satchets of water everyday without peeing? It was hell.

Soon enough, things changed, gradually. Before I could say “Jack Robinson,” I feel in love with that way of life that once disgusted me. Serving in the North soon became something I was proud to tell people about.

I was able to know that Hausas are hard working people – an average Hausa man has entrepreneurship tattooed on his mind. I enjoyed discussing with them because although most didn’t go to school, they have a sound business mind.

Never judge a Hausa man by his looks, I was jaw-dropped when a 24-looking Hausa guy walked to me to help him check his balance on an ATM. That afternoon, I had just returned from my PPA and I was zombified and so hungry that my economics textbook looked like bread to me, so I had to use the ATM.

After waiting for a period of time that seemed like forever to me, with this guy in his torn clothes and slippers branded with “channel O’s” almost having to read a “How to operate an ATM for Dummies” manual before he could use the machine.

Finally, he gave up, turning to me for help. “Mai gida, balance” was all he said to me, which I clearly understood. Without wasting time, I asked for his pin and I clicked on the “check balance” option. What I saw almost made me exclaim. He had 1,546,000 (not made up) in his account . It was like I received an OTA respect update for him, because I had just 10,000 naira in my account, but I looked like I could buy him.

**back to the story*

I attended RCCF and NCCF and these fellowship put my music life on steroids. Just like myself, I met music thespians in both fellowships and this exposed me to a whole new level of cool, musically.

I soon made a Hausa friend who had the passion to learn the English Language, and since I’d love to learn the Hausa language too, we brought the barter system back to life. This brought me more fun, because to some extent, I could understand it when Hausas communicated.

Things are so cheap that at times, I spent only hundred naira to prepare stew. Oh! About stew, I was taught to cook by some other female Corp members who didn’t want me to end my life as a junkie. I was posted along side 9 ladies to my lodge, and they were wonderful to me. They thought me so many kitchen-related stuff.

Kebbi State was more than I had imagined; aside from the really hot weather that made me and every other corp member sleep outside at times (which we loved because we got to share stories), Kebbi was altogether awesome.

I never regretted serving in the North because it brought me many blessings. I had out-of-the-world experiences.

If you got posted to the North, don’t feel bad. Seize every opportunity when you get there. Also, relate with the people. Some look like they are poor, but they are connected to the people in power. You never know what form that help you need may take.

I earn N950,000 monthly – Rotimi Amaechi

April 11, 2018 in news

amaechi - Fabinfo Staff

‘A minister earns only N950, 000 a month. Out of this money, N350, 000 is for accommodation so there is no more money given to you’

The Catholic Archbishop of Abuja, John Cardinal Onaiyekan, says it is worrisome that the older generation is refusing to leave the scene for the younger generation.

Onaiyekan, who is a former President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, said this at the presentation of a book titled, ‘Dignity in Service,’ authored by the late Dr. Matthew Mbu, a former Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Also, the Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi, said at the event that he earned “only N950,000” a month out of which he also paid his aides.

The cleric said the post-independence leaders like the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Nnamdi Azikiwe and Abubakar Tafawa-Balewa, were young when they did great things for Nigeria.

He said it was this sort of orientation that caused the late Mbu to be appointed a minister at the age of 23.

Onaiyekan, however, wondered if the younger generation could be given the sort of opportunity that existed in the 1960s.

The cleric said, “The point I want to make is this; today when you hear that a young boy was a minister, my mind always goes to those days too and I ask, how many people were old then? The people we now see as ancestors were all young people. I will like to find out the age of Tafawa Balewa and even Awolowo at that time.

“They were all relatively young and when Awolowo and Azikwe broke grounds then, they were young. I think this is the story we need to tell to our younger people but the question is, where is the space for our younger people when old people like me are still hanging around?

“We have to find a way of giving room to younger people to show what they can do also. Mbu has shown that young people can perform but we have also had experiences of young people who have not performed.”

The cleric, however, stated that being young did not always imply that a person would be competent.

“So at the end of the day, maybe it is not a matter of the age but a matter of your own mind, your intention, your love for doing the right thing especially concern for others, politics and service to the people in the name of God. If we start to take these things seriously then probably it would not matter whether we declare to seek re-election at 79 or whether we don’t,” Onaiyekan said.

In his remarks, Amaechi, who was the chairman of the occasion, said it was not true that only past leaders were honest.

While extolling the virtues of the late Mbu, Amaechi who was governor of Rivers State between 2007 and 2014, said he would continue to promote transparency.

To prove his claim, the minister revealed that he earned “only N950,000” a month out of which he also paid his staff.

He said, “A minister earns only N950, 000 a month. Out of this money, N350, 000 is for accommodation so there is no more money given to you. The remaining N600, 000 includes payment for your staff, personal assistants and all that.”

Amaechi said President Muhammadu Buhari’s government had helped to stop the culture of waste such that private citizens no longer throw lavish parties.

The minister added, “Nigerians like going to parties. That is one benefit of this government. We now assess our wealth and value money. Before, once you get money from the illegal means, we hold parties. There are very few parties these days because there is no more money to hold such parties.

“There are no ‘owambe’ anymore because there is very little money to hold ‘owambe.’ The reason is that the ‘owambe’ money used to come from the government and there is no money in the government to do such.”

TRENDING NOW : OAU professor demands five rounds of s£x to pass female student (Audio)

April 10, 2018 in news

A private telephone conversation between one Richard Akindele, a professor of management and accounting at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, and a female undergraduate has been leaked.

OAU professor 653x365 - Fabinfo Staff

In the audio which has gone viral on social media, the lecturer demanded five rounds of s*x to award the lady a pass mark in a course she failed.

Although we could not independently verify if the voice is that of Akindele said to be a pastor but it was able to establish that a professor bears that name in OAU.

In the conversation recorded by the female student, the man was heard demanding five rounds of s*x.

Having exchanged pleasantries, the lady proceeded to tell the lecturer that she couldn’t speak with him properly the previous day because she was with her boyfriend and she didn’t want him to hear anything.

Below is a transcript of their conversation:

Student: Hello sir, Professor Akindele, yesterday you said something but because I was close to my boyfriend I could not say anything. You said you’ve submitted it

Lecturer: I gave you an opportunity and you missed it. Forget about it. You will do it next year.

Student: I was calling to confirm whether you were serious about it.

Lecturer: Me that agreed to do something. I know what I meant. If you don’t trust me, forget about it. If I wouldn’t do it, why should I give you audience in the first place? If I am not interested in doing it, I won’t give you audience in the first instance. The other person has come and I told her straight away because there is nothing I can do to bail that person out and her mark is even better than your own. The person scored 39 while your own is 33. Only two people failed the course so what else do you want me to do. You can see it anytime you come, we are at Moro doing exam, we are doing MBA executive exam. They are just starting. I will finish by 4:30 and maybe 5, I should be in the office. If you are ready, come by 5 Why did you tell me you were on your period the other time.

Student: I was really seeing my period Professor Akindele.

Lecturer: Stop mentioning my name. And now nko?.

Student: I am not on my period now.

Lecturer: Your boyfriend has done it yesterday?

Student: Is it every time that someone will be doing with the boyfriend? Is it every time you do it with your wife?

Lecturer: Yes

Student: It’s a lie, not possible. So what’s the plan now?

Lecturer: Let’s have the first one today and then we will do another one tomorrow. Is our agreement not five times?

Student: Is it B that you want to give me or C? Why would it be five times you will knack me?

Lecturer: That’s what I will do.

Student: Prof, you know what? Let me fail it. I can’t do it five times. For what nah? No worry. Thank you, sir

Lecturer: You are welcome.

The Newsmen could not reach Akindele for comments as his telephone line was switched off as of the time this report was filed.

In 2016, the senate mulled a five-year jail term for lecturers s*xually exploiting students. The bill, sponsored by Ovie Omo-Agege (Labour-Delta Central) and co-sponsored by 46 other senators, sought to completely prohibit any form of s*xual relationship between lecturers and their students.

But lecturers kicked against it, describing it as a violation of their rights.

Why It’s Difficult For Most Men To Apologize

Why It’s Difficult For Most Men To Apologize

The reason why most men find it difficult to apologize is something unfathomable. Saying I’m sorry is a short phrase and goes a long way in ending any argument or rift.

Apology should be easy for both male and females but for some reason it is not so.

Here are some reason why apologizing might be difficult for men:

1. They want to avoid further blame

Women like to talk and in this age of women empowerment, a woman will take the first chance she gets at rubbing victory in a man’s face. Add this to women that love nagging and you have the recipe for unending disagreement.

Sometimes, men do not apologise because they don’t want their partners to begin listing all the wrong things they have done in the past. They just want it to end there.

2. Some things don’t deserve an apology

Generally, women do not find it hard to apologise because they understand that an apology can go a long way in resolving issues. This is different for men; to them, some things are just too inconsequential for an apology.

3. Actions speak louder than voice

Instead of saying “I’m sorry”, some men prefer to show their remorse by trying to please their partners. Some prefer to buy gifts and do a great deal of material-placating rather than tender a simple apology.

4. Pride

This is the most common reason men hold back on apologizing. Generally, men do not like to be seen as being weak enough to admit guilt. Tendering an apology would mean acknowledging that they were wrong and this will put a dent in their ego.

5. They want to share the blame

When one tenders an apology, the person is taking responsibility for something that went wrong. Sometimes, a man does not want to take all the blame, he wants to share the blame so he withholds apology. For example, when a couple disagree.

#JAMB2018 – Post UTME Screening Methods for 2018 Admission

April 6, 2018 in education

jamb exam2 - Fabinfo Staff

Very soon, schools will start releasing their post-UTME screening forms. While candidates wait for their school of choices to announce the sales of screening forms, it is important that candidates equally know what to expect during the Post-UTME Screening exercise.

The Post-UTME screening is a means schools use to ensure they pick qualified candidates for admission. The methods usually used by schools to achieve this include Online Screening, Physical Screening and Aptitude Test Screening.

Some schools may use just one of these screening methods while some may use two or all three of these screening methods.

Nevertheless, many schools (if not all) use the Aptitude Test Screening in selecting the qualified candidates for admission.

Now let’s briefly explain what’s involved in these 3 different methods of Screening.

Online Screening

In this case, you will be required to upload your results and other relevant documents on the school’s portal. The school will then screen you based on how good your results are as well as the validity of documents and other information you submitted.

The documents you may need to upload include;

– O’level result (WAEC, NECO or GCE)

– JAMB result(original)

– Birth certificate

– Certificate of State/LG of origin

– JAMB Direct Entry Registration slip(For Direct Entry candidates)

– Passport

– Jamb details(such as Registration number, subject combination etc)

Physical Screening

In physical screening, candidates will be required to come to the schools with all relevant documents to be screened.

The school may equally decide to conduct an oral interview for candidates. Students are advised to go to the screening in formal attire and ensure they look decent. One thing that will give you an edge in this case is the confidence you exude while answering the questions thrown at you.

Aptitude Test Screening

Here candidates will take an aptitude test as a form of screening. This is in form of an examination. it could be CBT or PPT. Many schools (if not all) now use this method to screen candidates. In this case, candidates are advised to get the Post-UTME Past questions of their school of choices in order to prepare adequately for the aptitude test Screening.

Now you are aware of what to expect and we believe this will help you to equally prepare as expected.

Goodluck!

NYSC DG laments poor state of facilities in orientation camps

April 5, 2018 in NYSC

Sulaiman Kazaure - Fabinfo Staff

Director-General, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brig-Gen. Suleiman Kazaure on Wednesday expressed concern over what he called the dilapidated state of facilities in many orientation camps across the country.

Speaking at the opening of the 2018 Batch ‘A’ Pre-orientation Workshop, held in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, Kazaure said that facilities in many of the orientation camps were nothing to write home about.

He, however, commended the Oyo State Government for what he said was its continued support for the NYSC through the provision of standard orientation camp, located in Iseyin, and its routine maintenance.

Kazaure also said that the provision of an enabling environment for the operations of the scheme in the state was commendable.

He said that the law establishing the NYSC scheme placed the responsibility of provision and maintenance of orientation camps on state governments.

Kazaure while speaking further reiterated his call on stakeholders to live up to their statutory responsibility through provision of necessary facilities at orientation camps so as to make the scheme more effective.

He said, “Permit me to use this occasion to remind all stakeholders that the law establishing the NYSC scheme places the responsibility of provision and maintenance of orientation camps with the state governments.

“On this note, I wish to reiterate our call on them to live up to this statutory responsibility. This call has become necessary in view of the dilapidated state of the facilities in many orientation camps.”

He said that the workshop, with the theme: “Achieving the NYSC mandate through an effective orientation course,” was aimed at evaluating previous orientation exercises with a view to mapping out strategies for the successful conduct of the forthcoming one.

He added that the workshop would set the tone for the 2018 Batch ‘A’ orientation course, through the formulation of policies and operational guidelines for all players involved in the conduct of the exercise.

Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo state who was represented by his Deputy, Mr. Moses Adeyemo while declaring the workshop open, acknowledged the pivotal role of orientation exercise in igniting the interest of corps members to render service to their fatherland, being their first point of contact to the scheme.

Ajimobi described the idea of holding periodic review of the NYSC programmes as a step in the right direction.

As a keen watcher of the scheme, Ajimobi expressed happiness that NYSC had continued to live up to the dreams of its founding fathers by grooming youth in the service of the fatherland.

He said, “I am delighted to equally note that the present management of the scheme has made giant strides in making the scheme respond to the dynamics of the society.

“I, therefore, call on the management to consolidate on the many operational innovations it had started.

“Pursuant to the desire of the Oyo State Government to enable the scheme actualize its lofty objectives, we have stepped up efforts geared towards improving the welfare of corps members serving in the state.”

These, he said, include payment of the corps members’ monthly allowances and provision of necessary assistance to the secretariats for the smooth conduct of orientation courses, among others.

Ronaldo Barca Aug2017 - Fabinfo Staff

Juventus goalkeeper, Gianluigi Buffon has likened Real Madrid’s star, Cristiano Ronaldo to Pele and Diego Maradona.

He stated this after the Champoins League match between his side and Madrid, on Tuesday night, at Allianz Stadium, Italy.

Ronaldo scored a brace in Los Blancos’ quarterfinal first-leg win over the defending Serie A champions.

The second was a brilliant overhead kick, that left Buffon stranded.

Speaking with Mediaset after the match, the Italian international applauded Ronaldo for his brilliance.

According to Buffon, Ronald has helped his club to achieve much sucesses, a stride he says equates him with the likes of Pele and Maradona.

He said, “Once again today, we’ve all seen what Ronald is, he always has been an incredible footballer who, together with [Lionel] Messi, are inspiring their sides to the greatest successes.

“This means that Ronaldo’s value has to be compared with the likes of Maradona and Pele

“He’s one of those players who can have such a huge influence over the number of games and titles their sides win.

“We’re really disappointed because probably we’re not going to make it through now, and this is a huge regret, but it’s also true that when you face opponents like these, you’ve just got to be able to acknowledge that they simply are too good.

“When you’re playing against incredible players, it’s not like you’re making mistakes, when they score so many, you may just be a little bit less precise at times but when you face the best, these things can happen.

“We’re talking about players who can score 500 goals in 10, 12 years of their career.”

FG warns Nigerians over imported rice

April 3, 2018 in news

lai mohammed - Fabinfo Staff

The Federal Government has warned Nigerians against consumption of imported rice smuggled into the country.

Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, issued this caution during a media briefing in Lagos on Monday.

Mohammed said the government could not guarantee the healthy status of the rice, having spent months on the high seas and warehouses.

He appealed to Nigerians to complement the efforts of the government by consuming only locally-grown and processed rice which he said “is fresher, tastier and healthier’’.

“We don’t know where or how imported rice is made or how old it is. It is reported that most of the rice dumped on us are old and probably rejected. The citizens of those countries do not eat this rice. The citizens of Benin Republic also do not eat it. But they send it to us.

“Unhealthy foods are dangerous to our health. So, let’s eat what we can vouch for,” Mohammed said.

Mohammed said smuggled rice was primarily sourced from Thailand and India and came into Nigeria through the country’s borders with Benin, Niger and Cameroon.

“In Benin Republic, the total demand for white rice (white rice is consumed in Benin, against parboiled rice in Nigeria) is 400,000 MT. Yet, the country with a population of about 11 million imports between one million and 1.2m MT of rice annually,” he said.

“Who are they importing for? Nigerians, of course. In fact, as Nigeria’s rice import falls, Benin’s rice imports increase. Most of the parboiled rice imported by Benin eventually land in Nigeria through smuggling,” he added.

The Minister added that smuggled rice costs between N11,000 and N13,000 per 50kg bag, while Nigerian-processed rice sells for between N14,500 and N15,000 per 50kg bag.
